Eric Hart Photography

Theatre

I am a theatre artist myself, and my theatre photography began as a way to document my own design and artisan work on stage. Since then, I have shot theatrical events for my peers' portfolios, and for theatre companies' archives. Every performance has its dramatic highlights, and I capture these as a way to document not only the look, but also the "feel" of the performance, and the emotions it creates.

Events

I approach event photography in much the same way I approach theatre photography. I capture the dramatic moments to document the memory of an event. Using a photojournalistic style, I aim to tell a story with every shot, even when no people are present. Whether posed or casual, my photographs bring the viewer into the event, as though they were there, in addition to documenting whatever specifics the client needs.

Product

Product photography is more than just a visual representation of an item. It is a way to communicate what the product is about and evoke an emotional response in the customer. For my medical product images, the client wanted to emphasize the clean and sterile precision of their products.
