Entrances

An ongoing series of places I've explored over the past several years. I find myself drawn to the kind of place that has been used and modified so often over time that it's appearance is no longer intentional. I try to follow the individual life threads of all hands that contributed to everything in the frame; from bricklayers and masons, to carpenters and repairmen, to vandels and painters. I'm constantly amazed at the thought of all those people, spread out over time and distance, unknowingly contributing to the building I walk by on a certain day.
